Montevideo Office

Opening the BNDES’ office in Montevideo, in Uruguay, in August 2009, was the starting point for reinforcing the Bank’s operations beyond Brazilian borders.

The office in Montevideo is a base for the BNDES to promote financing operations for foreign trade, production integration and infrastructure projects in the Mercosur trade bloc. Support and technical orientation provided by the BNDES is extended to financial institutions, multilateral organizations, as well as public and private entities, emphasizing the increase in regional integration.

From this new operational base, the Bank intends to advance beyond financial support for projects, intensifying contributions to the integration of Latin American people.
