BNDES finances US$ 7 million to Prensas Schuler exports
The board of Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) approved a financing in the amount of US$ 7 million to Prensas Schuler, destined to the production and export of five mechanic presses to PSA Peugeot Citroën, in France.
The funds will be granted in the ambit of Pre-Shipment
Line, and transferred by a financial agent in Brazil, under shipment and settlement deadlines of up to 14 and 20 months, respectively. The pre-shipment lines are directed to finance the production of goods to be exported, being important supporting instruments to the production cycle of goods destined to foreign market.
Prensas Schuler - Having its manufacturing park located in Diadema (State of São Paulo), Prensas Schuler produces mainly mechanic presses for metal shaping and renders technical assistance services. It began exporting in 1984, having as main customers the auto industries, such as General Motors, Audi/Volkswagen and Ford Motors. In 2004, company's net sales reached about R$ 295 million, from which total 89% relates to exports.
In the ambit of Pre-Shipment Line, Prensas Schuler has already performed operations with BNDES, amounting to US$ 13 million, in 2003, and US$ 35.4 million, in 2004.
