The efficiency of the public sector as a right of the citizen is defended in the Brazilian Constitution. This concept is applied through the Ombudsman's Office, that has its origins in Sweden, as a function that guarantees the constitutional rights, and whose term may be translated as a defender or attorney for the citizen against the State.
Seeking to create a channel that carries opinions, complaints and denouncements, guaranteeing the principle of ethics, efficiency and transparency in its relations with society. The initiative is a demonstration of the employment of the new National Project by the bank, with the objective to value the citizen and make social inclusion feasible. Linked to the Presidency, the Ombudsman 's Office has as its responsible
person, Maria Carolina Capistrano.
Attributes
The Ombudsman's Office acts in the post-service, in the mediation of conflicts between the citizen and the institution, seeking to personalize the service to the user. It treats, mainly, with matters that have a characteristic to cause confusion or harm, inconvenience or a predicament to the organ or its leaders, servers and to the norms.
He Ombudsman's office is conferred with the task to interpret the demands in a systematic manner, to infer from them eventual opportunities for the improvement of services and, in their name, suggest for changes. It also stimulates decentralized, voluntary and effective initiatives for the improvement of the public apparatus, of the professionals and the offered services, turning into an instrument of social inclusion.
The Ombudsman's Office does not substitute the service of other Customer Support Centers of the BNDES, but constitutes another channel for interchange with the public. Acting in an independent, impartial and confidential manner, the Ombudsman's Office is the citizen's voice in the company, contributing towards the improvement of the democratic
process.
