» Definition
Group of projects that integrate municipal agents' planning and actions in several sectors, aiming at contributing to solve structural problems in urban centers. Projects to be financed by BNDES may also be directed to a specific sector, like sanitation or transports, for example, to the extent they compose more comprehensive municipal government plans.
The Multisectorial Integrated Project is an alternative model for treating social problems, comprising solutions for the most different types of needs, by articulating, in the municipal ambit, investments in several social sectors, as, for example, basic sanitation and transports.
Among the special characteristics of the Multisectorial Integrated Project, the following are highlighted: formulation of integrated solutions, considering local specifics; development of participation processes by the communities: management; monitoring and evaluation of results and established targets; and maintenance and sustainability of transformations made.
