» PROFARMA - Innovation


» Purposes

Support projects of Industrial Health Complex companies under cooperation or not with Technological Scientific Institutions, related to radical or incremental innovations;

Support projects that purpose to contribute towards the construction and consolidation of the innovation infrastructure as regards health in the country;

Support projects that promote the internalization of competencies and activities related to research, development and innovation in the country.

Enterprises with seat and administration in the country; 

Public administration direct or indirect.



» Types of financial Support

Direct.



» Support Modalities

Financing and/or;

Participation in the company (through subscription of securities) or;

Participation in the project's results.

The participation in the project's results will be conditioned to the adherence to the following criteria: specific project; technological challenge; and congruence with the National Health Policy. The project's compliance with the abovementioned criteria will be exclusively judged by BNDES and by the Department of Health.



» Supportable items

Investment on the R&D infrastructure needed to the development of technological innovations, including: civil constructions, assembly and installation, purchasing of furniture and utensils, implementation of pilot plant, purchasing of process simulators;

Purchasing of new equipment for R&D, including industrial sets and systems produced in the Country and accredited in BNDES;

Importation of new equipment for R&D that does not present national similar with its evidence;

Internalization expenses, given that these do not imply remittance of resources, even though the importation has not been financed by BNDES;

Expenses related to deposit and maintenance of patents in Brazil and abroad;

Expenditures with capturing, processing and diffusion of knowledge related to the R&D process;

Purchasing of material and raw-material used in R&D activities;

Training and technological capacity training;

Hiring of studies and technical advisory;

Travel expenses;

Expenses with direct labor (Beneficiary's own team);

Expenses with regulatory issues;

Introduction expenses regarding innovations to the market, limited to 30% of the total financed amount.  



Conditions for Financing Operations

» Minimum Amount for Support

R$ 1 million.

For mixed operations, the minimum limit of R$ 1 million must be understood as the sum f all the financial instruments (fixed and variable earnings).



» BNDES' Maximum Participation

Up to 100% of the financeable items.



» Interest Rate

Fixed at 4.5% per annum.

The financing to the importation of equipment and other items that imply the remittance of resources must necessarily bear as source the resources collected by BNDES in foreign currency without entailment of transference under specific conditions. The operations of scientific and technological institutions may also be supported through non-reimbursable resources through FUNTEC, having to strictly follow its rules and guidelines.



» Maturity

Up to 15 years, with maximum grace period of 5 years.

Conditions for Operations of Securities Subscriptions



» Investment Amount

Starting at R$ 1 million. For mixed operations, the total of financed instruments (fixed and variable earnings) will be considered for the verification of the minimum limit of R$ 1 million.



» BNDES Participation

Up to 40% of the stocks that comprise the total stock capital of the company.



» Withdrawal Fund

A withdrawal fund of BNDESPAR stocks will be constituted with the company's profit. 



» Additional Conditions

The company must be incorporated under the limited liability company modality, must bear stockholder agreement, provide BNDES participation in its Administrative Council and program its IPO in the New Market.

From the hiring of the BNDES operation, and during the effectiveness period of the operation, the company must present financial statements audited by external independent auditor registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission [CVM]. 



» Evaluation

The company will be evaluated based on its future results. 



Conditions for Participation in the Project's Results


» Instrument

Risk contract with future participation on the developed product's sales.



» Support Purpose

Development of new produces of the industrial health complex which are priority to the Department of Health, which main market is the public audience.



» Maximum utilization and grace period total period

Up to 10 years



» BNDES Participation

Up to 90% of the financeable items.



» Addressing

The support requests under the direct, non-automatic indirect and mixed forms are sent to BNDES through the Previous Consultation letter - filled out according to the Information Guide for Previous Consultation - sent by the interested company or through the accredited financial institution of your preference to:
