BNDES obtains 265 million euros from the German bank KfW to finance public transport services
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) entered into a financing agreement with KfW, its German counterpart, in the amount of 265 million euros (approximately R$ 1 billion). The loan was signed within the scope of the Sustainable Urban Development Program, whose purpose is to support innovative and climate-friendly projects. Resources will be earmarked for efficiency and sustainable public transport systems in Brazil’s metropolitan areas to be run by local companies.

BNDES expands access to working capital for companies of all sizes
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) expanded access to its working capital financing program. From now on, companies of all sizes and sectors may request resources from the BNDES Support Program to Strengthen the Capacity to Generate Job and Income (BNDES Progeren) with no restrictions whatsoever.

BNDES profits R$ 3.5 billion in the first half of 2015
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) recorded a net income of R$ 3.515 billion in the first half of 2015. The main factor that contributed to this result was the increase in financial intermediation – the Bank’s credit operations – which reached R$ 9.290 billion in the first six months of the year, some 54.9% above the same period in 2014.

Financing for Comgás is the BNDES’ first pegged to debenture issuances
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) approved the first credit operation within the scope of the Fixed-Income Market Stimulus Program. The Bank will finance up to R$ 370.6 million of the Comgás’ investment plan for the 2015-2017 period, and the credit will be available to the company once it has complied with certain conditions, such as the issuance of debentures.
