December 3, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) released two publications estimating investments forecast in the Brazilian economy for the 2015-2018 period, the ninth consecutive edition of the report Perspectives on Investment and the series of studies entitled Sectorial Overviews.

On July 9, the BNDES and other developing banks from the Brics bloc signed an accord for cooperation between the member institutions and the New Development Bank. The document was signed during a Brics summit meeting, held in the city of Ufa, in Russia.

Disbursements from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) reached R$ 54.8 billion between January and May of this year, representing a 20% drop against the same period in 2014. The infrastructure sector, with R$ 20.4 billion, accounted for 37.2% of the total, followed by industry, with R$ 16.3 billion, some 30% of the total.
